With regards to glare it took a couple of months to go and my reading correction took a few months to come through to a level I was happy with. I am now absolutely delighted with my result and cannot express how happy I am that I got Laser Eye Surgery done. "I am from Austria and since many years I wanted to have the Lasik treatment, when I heard from my friend Sally who lives in Kinsale that she did the surgery 3 years ago and told me so much about the Ardfallen Eye Clinic and your team, I thought that it is the right time to try again and made an appointment.
Everything was very professional and I was impressed with the efficiency and care. The surgery itself went without any problems and I was impressed how detailed Mr. Hurley explained the sounds and everything, so I was not nervous and felt very good taken care of. Also the follow-up checks went without problems.
Obviously it is not too convenient to be from Austria and to go to Ireland for surgery but I felt that it is important to have trust in the team and that was the most important to go through with at the Ardfallen Eye Clinic. Especially after the first visit I felt great that I got the OK to go ahead with laser surgery.
After surgery I am now very happy, I have monovision and can see perfectly in the distance and can also read without glasses.

“For the first forty years of my life I had 20/20 vision and then I noticed that I was having difficulty reading and had to get Glasses. Over the following 11 years it was necessary for me to change my glasses on a regular basis as my eyesight was getting worse. Through this, the extensive website, the DVD’s I was asked to view and the explicit answers to questions I raised, I was fully informed of the treatment. Knowing Ardfallen Eye Clinic was selected for world trials in a new IOL confirmed that Mr Hurley actively sought the most innovative treatments available. The detail to information in relation to the transplant prior to the procedure was excellent so much so that I felt very much at ease going forward. "I had been wearing glasses since I was six years old. My sight was very poor because of this I had to wear very thick glasses. My sight worsened over the years and I developed cataracts in both eyes. I was not even able to get in and out of bed without my glasses. I went to Ardfallen Eye Clinic to have my case assessed. Mr Hurley decided to surgically insert an intraocular lens to correct my vision and he assured me that I would no longer have to wear glasses except for reading.
